Gene Edward Robinson Sr.

He was born on March 10, 1943 in Meigs County, Tennessee to the late William and Ruby Robinson.

Gene was a self-taught artist and an extremely gifted painter. He loved his family, his horse, Gambler and his two dogs, Buddy and Chipper. Gene was a genuinely kind person and would help anyone in need.

He retired from Sisken Steel and was a member of Tiftonia Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Janine Robinson, six children, Alan McFarland, of Chattanooga, TN, Kimberly Stargel, of Columbia, KY, Jennifer Robinson Rightmire, of Bakewell, TN, Christine Robinson Cline, of Marion Co., TN, Karen Robinson Fisher, of Bledsoe Co., TN, Gene E. “Robbie” Robinson, Jr., of Sale Creek, TN., eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, six siblings, Barbara Sharp, Shirley Pendergrass, Randle Robinson, Joyce Lawson, Russell Robinson, Norman Robinson, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2020, in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Brandon officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 24, 2020, at the funeral home.

We respectfully request that "social distancing", wearing masks, and all CDC measures be adhered to at the funeral home and the cemetery.
