George Arnold White, 83, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at his home.
He was employed at DuPont and retired after 39 ½ years of service.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He was a member of VFWPost # 95, Victims Rights, and Community Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael White.
Survivors include his wife, Deloris Simmons White; one son, Malcolm Ray White, of Chickamauga, GA; one granddaughter, Bonnie Rae White; one sister, Arva Piggott, of Meridian, MS.; two brothers, Doyle White, of Woodstock, GA., Pierce White, of Rome, GA., and special friend, Gail Allen.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the North Chapel with Rev. Tommy Tillman officiating.
Interment will follow at Hamilton County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM today, Friday, August 27, 2010 at the North Chapel.
