

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She graduated from Red Bank High School in 1974. She recently retired from TVA after 47 years of service. She loved baking and sewing. The Christmas Season was her favorite time of year.
Ginger was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church and was a faithful servant all of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Thelma Hawthorne and granddaughter Charlotte Ridge.
Ginger is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Lamar Ridge. Her three children, Dustin Ridge, Matthew (Heather) Ridge, and Stacey (Brandon) Hill, and her granddaughter Hadley Ridge. She is also survived by her siblings , Deanne Hawthorne, Suzanne Huffman and Steve (Cindy) Hawthorne, her brother-in-law Alan (Andrea) Ridge and sister-in-law Rhonda (Delton) Griffith, along with many nephews and nieces. Her life long best friend Patti Weimer and work best friend of 32 years Jeanette Pair along with Mary Lee Goodwin of 25 years also survive her.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Donnellan and the staff at Tennessee Oncology along with Dr. Crawford at Nephrology Associates for their unwavering professionalism and compassionate care.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday December 16, 2025 from the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Bishop Jimmie Talley officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday December 15, 2025 from 2:00 until 4:00PM and from 6:00 until 8:00PM then on Tuesday until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation.
