Howard "Bucky" Raper, age 48, went to be with his Lord and Personal Savior, with his loving wife and family by his side, on the morning of Sunday May 21. He was preceded in death by his father Frank Raper. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Angela Raper, daughter Kerrigan Raper of Nashville, TN, Mother Hughie Raper, brother Stephen Raper (Melody), sister Frances Lathrop (Mark) of Albuquerque, NM, In-laws Margaret and Dwight Lewis, nieces, nephews, family members, and close family friends James Curran and Taylor Reedy, and other friends.
Bucky was a lifelong resident of Hixson, was employed at Erlanger Medical Center as the Director of Patient Access. Bucky loved his Lord and Savior and exemplified the Christian life. He studied computer science through Liberty University. He loved robot, car, and Marvel collectibles. He enjoyed moments with friends and family watching TV, playing games, and enjoying life. He was especially thankful for the loving care provided by the love of his life Angie during his illness.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 24th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Wednesday with Rev. Tony Raffa officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
