James A. Hipp died on Friday, June 18, 2010 at age 96. He is survived by his wife Thelma; daughter Sarah Love, Signal Mountain, step-sons Scot Terry, San Francisco, Miles Terry, Oklahoma City; grandchildren Jeff Love, Cumming, Georgia, Melissa Snyder, Signal Mountain, step-grandchildren Era Terry, Chattanooga, Amanda Younce, Conrad, Montana; two great grandchildren, one step-great grandchild.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no services. He asked that the Chattanooga Hamilton County Bicentennial Library be designated for memorial contributions. These may be sent to the library at 1001 Broad Street, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37402.
The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care given to him by his physicians, Hospice of Chattanooga and special friend W.A. McAdams.
