Jim was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area. He was a 1979 graduate of Tennessee Temple High School, attended Tennessee Temple University and Palmer Chiropractic College. Jim was currently a real estate agent with Crye-Leike Realtors and President of the Homeowners Association at Murray Hills. He was a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Marvin King.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Rhea Dillow King; daughter, Madissen King; mother, Dixie King Babb (John Gerald); brother, Steve King; nieces and nephews, Lauren, Stephen, Anna, Elizabeth and Jonathan King; father and mother-in-law, Gary and Margaret Dillow and two brothers-in-law, Mark and Evan Dillow
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday at the North Chapel.
Services for Jim will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at the North Chapel with Dr. Wayne Barber officiating. Burial will be private for family only.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s name to Woodland Park Baptist Church, 6735 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
