Jo Etta Cash

Jo Etta Cash, 91, a Chattanooga native, passed away while surrounded by loved ones in Woodstock, GA, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. She was a lifelong member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Chattanooga. A devoted Christian, she loved the Lord with all her heart and her church family. She deeply loved her family of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and passionately loved cooking for family and friends.
Jo Etta was born to the late Rebecca Delilah Johns Drake and Elwood Solon Drake on September 12, 1931, in Pulaski, TN.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hooper Cash, and four brothers, David, Rembert, Willard, and Norman. She is survived by her sister Bettye Hudson (Buddie) of Kimball, TN, and her children Ron Holdaway (Karen) of Panama City, FL; Becky Holdaway Pitts (Carroll) of Woodstock, GA; and Cindy Holdaway Crosslin (Rick) of Elizabethtown, KY; her grandchildren Stacey, Ronnie, Daniel, Brooke, and Tony twelve great-grandchildren – Jordan, Evan, Jami, Aidan, Logan, Draven (deceased), Jasper, Leah, Emaline, Kathryn, Bekah, and Nathan; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel on Monday, January 23, at 10:30-11:30 am. The service will begin at 11:30am with Rev. Mike Campbell officiating.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 4400 Bonny Oaks Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Hwy. 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
