Joe Crowley, 78, of Harrison, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017. He was born at home and grew up in Chattanooga. Joe loved to spend time at his property, “Moon River”, going to Tennessee football games, NASCAR races and spending time with family. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Crowley; mother, Henrietta Hixson; step-father, John Hixson and son, Timothy Joe Crowley. He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Linda Crowley; children, Terry Crowley, Kim (Tom) Barwick and Chara (Hunter) McLaughen; grandchildren, Stephen Crowley, Lindsey (Bennett) Swygert, Kevin Barwick, Ethan, Cooper and Emalinn McLaughen; great-granddaughter, Skyler Ann Swygert; siblings, Patti (Ron) Pickett, Gary (Sue) Crowley, Sharon LaParry and Kyle (Bennetta) Crowley and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joe’s memory in honor of Ema; to the Hydrocephalus Association, 5560 Crooked Creek Drive, Ooltewah, Tennessee 37363. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 2 pm at the funeral home with Dr. Bill Owens officiating with a short visitation prior to the service from 12 pm to 2 pm.
