John Crisman, 93, passed away December 11, 2017. He was a native of Chattanooga and a graduate of the McCallie School and The University of Chattanooga. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II, a partner in several business ventures, a past member of The Civitan Club, and an active member of Red Bank Church of Christ. He had served on the boards of Boyd Buchanan School, UTC Student Center and Greater Chattanooga Christian Services.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; one grandson, Wesley, sister, Maryadell Brown and brother, Bryan Crisman.
He is survived by his two sons, David Crisman and Dr. Alan Crisman; two daughters, Carol McGill and Ann Rox; seven grandchildren; sister, Edith Yantis and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 1 pm to 3 pm at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 3 pm at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Red Bank Church of Christ Ministers officiating. The interment will be private at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
