Mr. Joseph M. Raynes, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. He was born in Danville, Kentucky on November 20, 1938 and was a long time resident of Hixson. Joseph served his country in the U.S. Army and he was a retired foreman for Norfolk Southern Railroad.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, George and Eloise Raynes; his wife, Nellie Raynes; daughter, Michelle Raynes; and “Monty” his beloved dog.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Tammie Hall (Andy Hudson), and Cindy Smith (Jeff); grandchildren, Tanya, Taylor, Tiffani, and Holland; and great grandchild, Carson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 15th from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. Graveside services will be private.
