Joy was born on May 24, 1960, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late John and Jane Haskett. She was the younger of two children. Joy attended the Dawn School, graduated from Red Bank High School, and earned a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate.
Joy was a long-time member of the Moccasin Bend Girl Scout Council. She attended Red Bank United Methodist Church, worked at Goodwill, and was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Siskin Rehabilitation Hospital for many years.
Joy had a great sense of humor and loved to play practical jokes. Joy loved camping with her mother, sister, and friends at Camp Adahi, attending church and bible study, her pets, and eating at Krystal.
Joy had been a resident of Hosana House, Creekside at Shallowford, and spent her last six years at Standifer Place.
Joy leaves to cherish her loving memory her sister Judy and husband Terry Fontenot. Niece Jamie Fontenot, Nephew TJ, wife Kelley & daughter Lyla Fontenot. Uncle Frank and Aunt Maggie Haskett, and their children Marie, Frank Jr, and Amy. Also Great Aunt Ann Feineauer.
There will not be a public Memorial Service as Joy’s life will be celebrated privately with her family.
