Mrs. Juanita Varner, 93, of Hixson, passed away at her residence on Friday, April 14, 2017. Juanita was a Chattanooga native, born on January 18, 1924. She was a member of Burks United Methodist in Hixson and enjoyed her time with the Burks Quilters every week for many years. Most of all, she loved and enjoyed her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. “Buck” Varner, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters. Survivors include her son, Glenn Varner (Kathy); daughter, June Cline (Scott); grandchildren, Adam Varner (Mark), Alan Varner (Miranda), Amanda Varner, Kaylan Reinisch (Steven), and Candace Cline; great grandson, Anderson Thomas Varner; and sister, Ardelia Potter. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 16th from 3-7 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 17th at 11:00 am with Pastor Bobby Franklin officiating. Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
