September 12th, 2020 at her home in Spring City, Tennessee at the age of 74.
Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Judy was a graduate of South High School. She
excelled in business as an administrative assistant. Judy was an accomplished
pianist and vocalist who served faithfully with the Mount Paran Sanctuary and
New Life Singers and the Walk to Emmaus community. She was a member of
Mount Paran Church of God in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a warm, gracious
hostess with an enormous gift of hospitality. Most importantly, Judy loved God
and loved people. She exhibited the love of Christ in her generous spirit,
compassionate heart and servant leadership. She was incredibly beautiful - inside
and out. She made the ordinary feel extraordinarily beautiful for all whose lives
she touched. A loving wife, mother, Nana, and friend who leaves behind a legacy
of grace, joy, and Godliness.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Clara McMahan, and her
brother, David Phillip McMahan.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth Young, of Spring City,
Tennessee and formerly Acworth, Georgia; her daughters Kristin (Jerry) Kight of
Spring Hill, Tennessee and Wendy (John) McKinnon of Acworth, Georgia. The
loves of her life were her grandchildren Rachel and Trevor Kight and Samuel
McKinnon.
