June was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and a 1952 graduate of Red Bank High School. She worked at Olan Mills until the birth of her son. She was a member of Falling Water Baptist Church where she dedicated her life to the nursery and taking care of the children of the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald A. Farris; parents, Oscar and Addie Wilson; brothers, Wilber, Delmont and Walter Wilson; sisters, Louise McGaughey and Gladys White.
June is survived by her son, David (Sandy) Farris of Signal Mountain; two grandchildren, Tristan and Hayley Farris; siblings, Jake Hawk, Martha Faye Hebert, Jim (Melba) Wilson, Tommy Wilson, Jane Hetzel and her twin sister Jean (Stanley) Jackson; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday and 10:30 to 11:30 AM on Monday at the North Chapel.
Services for June will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Dasal officiating.
Burial will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
