Kathleen Seymore Cooper, 94, of Cumming, Georgia formerly of Red Bank, Tennessee passed away on April 21, 2019. She was born in Fort Payne, Alabama to the late George and Zelma Seymore. She was a member and taught several classes at Red Bank Baptist Church. Kathleen was an avid and lifelong member of the Business and Professional Women’s Association and was President of the State Association in 1984. She was also a member of the Mission Ridge Eastern Star. Kathleen was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Don R. Cooper; twin sister, Pauline McClure and sister, Margie Seymore; brothers, O.L. Jack Seymour, Harry Seymore and Mitchell Seymour.
She is survived by her son, Bruce (Judy) Cooper of Cumming, Georgia; grandson, Nicholas (Julie) Cooper of Lawrenceville, Georgia; granddaughter, Carrie (Terry) Knecht of Chattanooga; five beloved great-grandchildren, Cooper, Carson, Caroline, Wyatt, and Kate; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel and again on Saturday from 10 am to 11:30 am.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:30 am at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Harvey and Terry Knecht officiating. Interment to follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
