Mr. Kenneth Mott Henry

Kenneth HenryKenneth Mott Henry, 80, of Chattanooga went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 3, 2009. Mr. Henry was born September 22, 1929 in Macon, GA to the late Frances and Evie Henry. Mr. Henry formerly served in the United States Naval Reserve. He was active in the Sertoma club for many years and also served as president for the organization. He was president of Ivan Allen of Chattanooga, as well. He was a member of Harrison United Methodist Church. Mr. Henry was a skilled craftsman and enjoyed fishing and gardening.He was preceded in death by his forementioned parents; brother, Phil Henry and step-daughter, LeeAnne White.Survivors include his wife, Amanda Henry; daughter Valorie (Ed) Hughes; sons, Ted (Kay) Henry, Rick Henry, Ken Kelly; step-son, Trey (Bonnie) White; grandchildren, Jennifer Bischof, Lexi White, and Thomas White; great grandchildren, Jackson Winters and Colette Bischof; sister, Patsy (Ralph) Steele and several nieces and nephews.A Memorial service will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 5th at the North Chapel with Pastor Tom Hancock and Rev. Henry Groseclose officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation this evening Friday, December 4th from 5 to 7 PM at the North Chapel.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Harrison United Methodist Church and Hospice of Chattanooga.
