Laura Campbell

She was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas on March 19, 1961. Laura was a 1979 graduate of Homestead High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and has been a long time resident of the Chattanooga area. She has been an accountant with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee for over 32 years. Laura was of the Baptist faith. She was very active with her children’s activities during their school years. She served as team mom, volunteering many hours helping the booster clubs and other activities with the different sports her children played. But most importantly she loved just being a mom for her children.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Annette Gay and a sister, Suzy Gay.

Laura is survived by her husband of 30 years, Allen Campbell; children, Paul Campbell and Amy Campbell; father, H. D. “Jim” Gay; sister, Linda Fox; Laura’s twin brother, Jim Gay and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, August 20, at the North Chapel.

A celebration of Laura’s life will follow at 7 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with Dr. Joel Wood officiating.
