She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman J. Clayton, daughter Betty Ann Combs, Brother Paul Varner.
Lena is survived by her son, Roy (Becky) Clayton of Hixson; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Crutcher and Jewel Jordan, brother, L.C. Varner.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 pm Sunday at the North Chapel.
Services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Leon Fraley. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
