

He was born January 3, 1915 in Polk County, Tennessee to the late Arthur and Delarmie Campbell Ross.
His life career was in car sales with several years at Newton Chevrolet. His motto was “Go the extra mile for his customer” and he did. His favorite pastime was gardening and sharing the bounty with his neighbors.
Luther was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church and the Fellowship Class. He served as a deacon, usher, and a youth leader.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Edith Bates Ross and brother, Chester L. Ross.
He is survived by his daughter, Alma R. (Lester B.) Keith of Signal Mountain; grandson, Ted A. (Jackie) Keith of Soddy Daisy; granddaughter, Cindy K. Caldwell of Hixson; four great-grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the North Chapel with Rev. Bert Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with members of the Fellowship Class serving as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga and NHC Healthcare, Dunlap for their loving care and kindness shown to Luther.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Adults Ministry of Red Bank Baptist Church.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tennessee.
