Mack Randall "Randy" Freeney

Mr. Mack Randall “Randy” Freeney passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016. Randy was born in Trion, GA on June 8, 1942 to the late Thomas and Maxine (McAbee) Freeney. Randy was retired from Iron Workers Local 704. He was an active member of Lake Drive Baptist Church and supported the ministries of the church both personally and financially. He had a passion for missions and had made several missions trips. Everyone enjoyed his solos at church, even though he never considered himself a performer. Randy was a great golfer and loved Auburn football. He received the greatest satisfaction from serving and meeting the needs of others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Teresa Freeney Bernard and Kathleen Freeney Savant, and his brother, Thomas Patrick Freeney. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Morelli Freeney; daughters, Donna Freeney Augustine (Anthony) and Aleta Freeney; 5 grandchildren, Aja, Jeannine, Celina, Phoenix, and D.J.; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and sister, Janet Freeney Morgan. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Wednesday, June 22nd and 11 am to 12 pm on Thursday, June 23rd at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel. Funeral services will be at 12 PM on Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. David Haynes officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Lake Drive Baptist Church for Romanian Missions.
