It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maisey A. Loucks. She was born Aug. 24, 1994 and grew up in Ballston Spa, NY. She was beloved daughter of Daniel and Eva Loucks. She passed away peacefully on March 9, 20205 due to complications from a car accident.
Her love for her family was boundless, and she treasured every moment spent with them, always putting others before herself.
A graduate of SUNY Adirondack and SUNY at Plattsburg. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Business Admin. and Global Supply Management. She worked for several organizations before working for Plug Power where she met her loving fiancée, Hunter West.
In 2023, Maisey and Hunter moved to Cleveland TN, where they lived with their two cats Tater and Queso. They had plans to be married on June 7th.
Maisey enjoyed growing up in Saratoga County. She was loved by her family and friends. Her passion for competition shooting came after being involved with Project Appleseed, which teaches marksmanship and American Revolutionary War history. She was a member of SaraSpa Rod and Gun Club. Maisey earned three national records in the woman’s Carbine match at Camp Perry National Games and numerous awards for her shooting. Maisey also enjoyed riding her motorcycle, horseback riding, scrapbooking and enjoyed traveling to Europe, US National parks and many family trips to Disney World.
Maisey is survived by her parents, Daniel and Eva Loucks, her siblings, Kyla Loucks (Jarrett Hissick), Theresa Fountain (Nick) brother, Josh Loucks and her niece, Carter Anna.
Fiancée Hunter West, his parents Ron and Karen and brother, Ryan.
Maisey will be deeply missed because she was “practically perfect in every way!”
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday March 12th from 4-6pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN., with a memorial service to follow at 6pm.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s in Southern Pines, NC on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10am with burial immediately following at St. Anthony of Padua Cemetery, NC.
