

Martha McMahan Spletzer, age 63, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, passed away on September 21, 2025. Born July 13, 1962, Martha was a 1980 graduate of Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School. She dedicated more than 40 years of service to Erlanger Medical Center, where her kindness and commitment touched countless lives.
Martha was a devoted fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and found joy in cheering for her team. She will be remembered for her warmth, loyalty, sense of humor, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Harold Spletzer; children, Lindsay Spletzer and Alex (Jessica) Spletzer; grandchildren, Gaige Davis, Alex Spletzer, Jace Spletzer, and Barrett Spletzer; mother, Aileen Harrison Wilson; sisters, Kim McGill and Angela (Darren) Gibson; step-siblings, Cristy Wilson Keller and Casey Wilson; step-mother, Betty McMahan; aunts, Brenda Harrison Wilson and Pat Boatman; as well as several brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind her lifelong best friend, Jaime Gracy Sipe.
She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Eugene McMahan; brother, Allen McMahan; stepfather, Rodney Wilson; brother-in-law, Don McGill; and her father- and mother-in-law, Harold and Mary Spletzer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 12:00–3:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 pm at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
