Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother . She worked for Red Bank Middle School in the Cafeteria until she retired . she was of the Baptist faith
Mary is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Ruby Jewell; son Allen Swafford
Mary is survived by her husband Bill Swafford; children Tammy (Alvin) Cooper, Diane ( Gary) Mahaffey, Melissa ( James) Richey , Rev. Bobby ( Sheri) Swafford and Gary Swafford ; sisters Emma Freeman , Shirley Skiles, Peggy Beard; brother Stanley Cronon ; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-children
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2013 from 2-8 pm and Thursday from 12-2 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel
Funeral service will be conducted at 2pm on Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wayland Stewart officiating
Interment to follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens
