Michael A. Austin

He was a graduate of the Baylor School, and MTSU, and excelled as a track athlete at both schools.

As owner of Austin’s Garden Center, he delighted his customers with humor and advice, for many years.

After his retirement one of Mike’s passions was to volunteer at CHI Memorial. He went in joyfully every week and was a shining light to everyone he touched.

He was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church, and never hesitated to share his personal faith with others.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents L.B., Jr. and Helen Price Austin; and sister, Ann Austin Flynt.

He is survived by his wife, Janie Austin; his three children, Paige Austin, Polly Noonan, and Michael (Amanda) Austin; and his brother, L. B. (Linda) Austin III.

He loved spending time with his 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, and adored each and every one of them.

Mike is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at First Presbyterian Church. *Masks Appreciated.*
