Mr. Michael “Mike” Thomas Humble, 52, of Johnson City, TN, passed away peacefully at his home on October 2, 2022. Mike was born in Johnson City on October 22, 1969. He graduated from Greeneville High School and went to ETSU for business. He was the owner and operator of Humble Tire and Service Center in Johnson City. Mike loved people and never met a stranger. He attended Crossroads Church in Greeneville, TN. Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and traveling. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Alice M. Merriam; paternal grandparents, David Miller Humble and Ruby Blackburn Humble; Aunts, Joanne Humble Thompson, Fran Roberson, and Elizabeth Hope; uncles, Jimmy Merriam and Ralph Hope; and cousins, Greg Humble and Allen Hope.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Thomas C. Humble and Mary A. Merriam Humble; sister, Lisa Anne Humble Crawford (Rod); uncles, David Miller Humble Jr. (Sue) and James Campbell (Judy); nephew, Gage Logan LeFevre; cousins, Chris Humble (Melba), Melissa Gaier (Wes), Brian Campbell, Hubert Roberson (Angie), Josh Roberson, Kelli Bottoms, Bryan Thompson, Berry Thompson (Penny), Ron Hope (Renee), and Roger Hope (Veda); and many beloved friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 8th from 11am -1pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel in Hixson. The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm Saturday with Reverend David Dugger officiating. Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Hubert Roberson, Josh Roberson, Wes Gaier, Chris Humble, Bryan Thompson, and Berry Thompson.
