Mike was 66 years old.
He was born & reared in Chattanooga attending Hixson High School, Chattanooga State & UTC.
Mike was an electrical engineer and worked for TVA for many years before becoming a service contractor for Premier Power.
Mike loved spending time with and caring for his family. He enjoyed golf and collecting baseball cards.
Mike always said he wanted God’s Will to be done in his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Taylor & Alma Taylor Ivey.
Mike is survived by his daughters Maegan Clanton (Cody), Lauren Liles, granddaughters, Chloe & Millie Clanton of Cleveland, TN, and his sister, Denise Darnell (David) of Chattanooga, TN, niece Abby Callahan (Chris) and great niece, Lucy Callahan of Chattanooga, Tn.
Funeral services will be conducted from the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Wednesday January 28, 2026 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens preceded by a brief graveside service.
