Mr. Randy L Marks

Randy was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area. He was a graduate of Central High School and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He was a longtime member of St. John United Methodist Church. Randy was employed with K-Mart for over 31 years where he served in management and was co-manager with Hobby Lobby for 3 years. He was an avid sports fan all of his life, loved his Tennessee teams and enjoyed motorcycle riding.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Marks; brother, Lewis Marks, Jr.

Randy is survived by his wife, Peggy Marks; stepdaughters, Veronica (Rocky) Diddle and Morgan Hughes; stepson, Joshua Elrod; father, Lewis Marks, Sr.; brother, Barry (Becky) Marks; sister-in-law, Janet Marks; 5 step grandchildren, 4 nephews, niece and great niece.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, May 5, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and 1 to 1:30 pm on Saturday, May 6, at St. John United Methodist Church, 3921 Murray Hills Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416.

A Celebration of Randy’s life will follow at 1:30 pm on Saturday at St. John United Methodist Church with Pastor Carl Blackburn officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Randy’s name to St. John United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Road, Suite 102, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
