Richard was a native of Cleveland, Ohio and a retired architect with Dunbar Construction. He was in the Army- Air Force
Richard is survived by his children, Ray (Ellen) Gilbert and Carol (Alan) Day; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister Lenore ( Red) Heron; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Richard will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 2 , 2015 at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11 am .
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard’s name to Summit View, 825 Runyan Drive, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37405 .
