Dan was a member of Rivermont Presbyterian Church. He worked until he retired with General Motors and he owned Realty Company with Paul Fitzgerald until he retired at the age of 72.
Dan was preceded in death by his wife Gloria E. Thompson; son Daniel Thompson
Dan is survived by his daughter, Connie (Thad) Mason; grandchildren, Katie (Phillip) Hamby and Nick Mason; great grandchildren, Maggie and Jonah Hamby, Halee and Eli Mason.
Services for Dan will be conducted at 6pm on Friday, November 27, 2015 in the chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel with Reverend Diana Stocker and Reverend Jennie Barber officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 27 from 12-6 pm at the funeral home
Burial at Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 2 pm
Memorial contributions may be made to Rivermont Presbyterian Church, 3319 Hixson Pike, Chattanooga, TN 37415.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist.
