

Ronnie Harrison Arp Sr., a humorous and kind-hearted soul, passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on November 15, 1946, in Loudon, Tennessee, Ronnie was the beloved son of the late Charlie and Jennie Arp. He was one of three siblings and grew up in Red Bank, Tennessee.
Ronnie was a 1964 graduate of Red Bank High School and went on to proudly serve in the US Air Force for four years, demonstrating his dedication and commitment to his country. He then earned a Bachelor's Degree in computer science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Ronnie retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) after more than 20 years of service, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
In 1977, Ronnie married the love of his life, Janie Arp, with whom he raised two children. He was a proud "Pappaw" to five grandchildren, sharing with them his love for life and his humorous stories.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife. Those left to celebrate his life include his son, Ronnie H. Arp Jr. (Tiffany); daughter, Kaley Mounce (Bradley); grandchildren, Taylor Arp, Adalyn Arp, Braxton Mounce, Kayden Mounce, and Braison Mounce; and brothers, Barry Arp (Becky) and Alan Arp (Angela).
Ronnie was a man of many talents and interests. He was incredibly handy and could make anything, with a particular passion for woodworking and working on cars/tractors. His selfless nature was evident in his willingness to help others with his skills.
Ronnie has now reunited with his loving wife, Janie. He will be truly missed for his sense of humor and his gift for telling stories of his life experiences. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and cherished memories.
A visitation for Ronnie will be Saturday, January 3, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home - North. Family and friends will then proceed to Hamilton Memorial Gardens for a 3:00 pm graveside service officiated by Rev. Bill Harvey.
