Royce Rector

Royce Rector, 78, of Hixson, passed away on January 5, 2010. He was born in Jasper, Tennessee, and retired from DuPont after 41 years of service. He was a member of Middle Valley Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Bertie Rector; daughter, Kathy Rector; and brother, Claude Rector.Survivors include wife of 57 years, Betty Brannon Rector; sons, Ricky (Pam) Rector, Rodney (Yvette) Rector, and Mickey (Candyce) Rector; daughter, Kay (Michael) Mobbs; eleven grandchildren, Kevin (Kristin) Mobbs, Kristopher (Julie) Mobbs, Matthew (Stephanie) Rector, Korey (Mary) Mobbs, Betsy (Warren) Parks, Jessica Rector, Seth Rector, Zachary Rector, Jared Rector, and Olivia Rector; great-grandsons, Chase Mobbs, Cooper Mobbs, Luke Mobbs, Tyler Mobbs, and two great-granddaughters expected in February; brother, George Earl (Frances) Rector; sisters, Lois (Jack) Lewis and Joyce (James) Fuller; sister-in-law, June Rector; and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at Middle Valley Baptist Church on Thursday, January 7 at 11:00 a.m. with Mickey Rector, Rodney Rector, and Dr. Greg Lindsey officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 6, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Hwy. 153, Hixson, TN 37343 and Thursday, January 7, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Middle Valley Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Middle Valley Baptist Church, 7901 Middle Valley Road, Hixson, TN 37343.Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist.
