She attended The Ministry Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred (Wint) Massengale. Her father James Pippin; her mother Treva Pippin Hamill; step-father Alfred Hamill; her son Mike Massengale; her granddaughter Meagan Myrick; son-in-law Chris Roberts; sister Jo Rooks; brothers Ray and William Pippin.

She is survived by her daughters Colleen (Chris) Barron and Kim Roberts. Grandsons Jeff (Britni) Roberts, Andrew Barron and Zach Myrick. Great grandchildren Seth, Aubrey, Abigail, Asher, Axxel, Anialise, Aleah, Austin, Cash and Levi.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 1 pm on Saturday, January 20, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Shirley’s life will follow at 1 pm on Saturday at the North Chapel with Reverend Charlie Foster officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
