She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Tennie attended Cornerstone Holiness Church.
Tennie is survived by her sons, Robert D. (Val) Bailey, Jr. of Mowbray, MT and James David (Shiela) Bailey of Lafayette, GA; grandchildren, David Leon Bailey of Soddy-Daisy, TN, Daniel (Karessa) Leamon of Lafayette, GA, Keith Jaco (Cheyenne) Herndon of Lafayette, GA, and Nakeisha (Steven) Ritchie of Dalton, GA; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Elizabeth Eustice.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Oscar and Sarah Bice; her husband of 61 years, Robert D. Bailey, Sr.; brothers, Rev. Billy Bice, Rev. J.L. Bice, Leon Bice, Ed Bice, Aaron Bice, Tommy
Bice, and Don Bice; and sisters, Alma James and Judy Walker.
Visitation will be at Chattanooga Funeral Home – North Chapel on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am with service to follow with Rev. Delbert Layne officiating.
She will be laid to rest at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with her husband.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
