Eddie was born in Chattanooga Tennessee, and was retired from the Electric Power Board of Chattanooga after 34 years of service.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edwin Burns and Mildred Hatfield Burns.
Eddie is survived by his wife and best friend of 42 years, Kathy Wilkerson Burns, son Thomas Edwin Burns, III, and daughter-in-law Frances, granddaughters Leslie Burns and Lindsay Burns, sister Mary Burns Sander (Richard), Richmond, VA, brother in law Scott Wilkerson (Linda) Asheville, NC, nieces and nephews Leslie Sander Winston (Justin), Jimmy Sander (Claire), Rachel Wilkerson, Maddie Wilkerson, Spencer Wilkerson, Michael Wilkerson, great-nieces and nephews Jack Winston, Finnegan Sander and Fontaine Sander.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Hwy 153, Hixson TN, 37343. Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com.
