Thomas W. Vowell, Sr., 79, of Hixson died Friday, December 25, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jan Vowell and a brother Johnny “Bubba” Vowell. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after over 30 years of service. He was a member of Hixson First Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons, Thomas W, Jr. (Jenny) Vowell and Scott Vowell; grandson Peyton Riley Vowell; sisters, Patsy (Jerry) James, Ollie Dean, Connie (John) McCulloch, and Blanche (James)Campbell.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens at 3:00 pm.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home Tuesday from 1-3.
