My Great Aunt Velma was so sweet yet stubborn at times ❤️ Unfortunately I didn’t get to spend as much time with her as I hoped living in Utah. However I do remember her visiting when I was young and I remember her kindness and I remember all of us kids just navigating towards her. She was so thoughtful always sending birthday cards and Christmas cards you could feel her love through them. As I got older talking to her on the phone which I did not do often enough was always pleasant and delightful. She will be missed!! my thoughts and prayers are with her family. RIP Aunt Velma ❤️ I love you ❤️ 

When my husband and I lived in Missouri, years ago, we were lucky enough to spend time with Aunt Velma in Tennessee. We drove down and stayed a week. We had the best time! She took us to the aquarium, ruby falls and just spent time visiting.  Our 4 year old daughter immediately took to her. She held her hand everywhere and Velma really loved that! There were alot of hugs and laughs. She just made us feel so welcome.  She will be missed, truly.

Velma was a kind soul and she's been part of my life since 1957 when I married her only brother, Richard.  We were not as close as we might have been since her home was Tennessee and we made our home in California.  Velma was widowed in 1970 and never remarried and she must have been quite lonely at times and I always felt sorry for the hardships she had to endure.  Now, little sister-in- law, I hope you rest well and  reunite with all the family members that went before. RIP.

Aunt Velma always had a welcoming way about her, she was always loving and kind to everyone she met along  the way. She was a great mom to my cousin, Rodney. I didn't get to see her as much as i would have liked to, but i hope she knows i love her. 
The last time i saw her, Rodney asked her is she knew who i was, she said no, but when asked if she remembered the meanest kid in the family, the first thing she said was, you're not Charlene are you?  Like really!!! My name is the first one to pop into her head! LMAO at least she remembered me. LOL   i love you Aunty, give my love to all the family.  Rest in Heaven!

Velma was a dear cousin.   In our younger days, we were very close.  I remember watching her get ready for school dances and thinking she looked like a princess.   She was always so close to my dad and mom.  It was like having an older sister to talk with.  I will never forget her.  

My aunt was one of the sweetest people I ever knew. We used to talk on the phone for hours. She loved all the nieces and nephews and we always got a card on our birthdays with whatever she could afford to send us, she always worried that it was not much. I don't think she ever knew how much it meant to us. She can rest in peace now.. I will miss her, I will miss sending little Debbie cakes to her in her Christmas box she loved them.  I love you Aunt Velma thank you for all the fun times.
