Victor was an avid baseball fan especially Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs, and he loved to play Bingo, and also had many friends.
Victor is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Root, his children, Barbara (Carl) Combs, Linda (John) Kramer, Darlene (Craig) Orr, Judy (Kenneth) Godfrey, Vickie Root, Victor Root Jr., Cindy (Peter) Valeo, Kathleen (Wayne) Piepenbrink, Charles Root. He was the proud grandpa & great grandpa to many, and had several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm until 9 pm Sunday, October 27, at the North Chapel Chattanooga Funeral Home, and from 3 pm until 9 pm on Monday, October 28 at the North Chapel.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, October 29, at the North Chapel Chattanooga Funeral Home.
