Bill was a believer in Christ, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud United States Army Airborne veteran. He answered the call to serve during the Korean War, demonstrating courage, honor, and dedication throughout his military career. After his military career, Bill was involved in all phases of the Tractor Trailor Industry.
He is preceded in death by his sons, David Anthony McArthur and Scott McArthur; parents, Joe and Margaret McArthur; and brothers, Horace Haston, Joe McArthur, and Charles McArthur.
Survivors include his wife, Mary McArthur and grandchildren, Josh McArthur and Justin McArthur.
A visitation for William will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, P.O. Box 9, Hixson, TN 37343. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 12:30 PM at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
