Wilma was a long-time member of Middle Valley Baptist Church. In her youth, she moved to Hixson Tennessee. She was a High School Graduate from Soddy Daisy High School. She worked and later retired from General Electric. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and more. She will be missed dearly and treasured forever.
Wilma is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William E. Rylander; her parents Prady and Zelphie Bowman and her sisters Corene Roberson and Bernice Rymer.
Wilma is survived by her sister Jerelene Fugatt; her 2 children Kathy Standefer (Ray) and David Rylander (Lynette); her 4 grandchildren Jennifer Miller (Jeff), Paul Standefer (Courtney), Heather Edmond (Eric) and Melissa Wilson (Jeremy); her 11 great grandchildren and her fur baby Callie.
A visitation for Wilma will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, P.O. Box 9, Hixson, TN 37343. A funeral service will occur Monday, January 13, 2025 at 2:30 PM at the funeral home. A committal will occur Monday, January 13, 2025 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 TN-153, Chattanooga, TN 37343.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
