A private burial will follow Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Forest Park Lawndale, Houston, TX.
Mr. Goodman was born October 11, 1958, in Eagle Lake, TX, to Lonnie A. Goodman, Jr. and Nadine Lydia Hill.
He died Saturday, October 19, 2019. Mr. Goodman was married to Jane Goodman on March 15, 1986. He retired from Sulzer in 2015 after 38 years of service as a welder. He was an accomplished welder and was sent around the world to teach his craft.
Since his retirement he was able to enjoy spending more time baking in the kitchen, working in the garden, and on a tractor. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He always enjoyed being able to vacation in Colorado.
His patient, gentle spirit will be missed. He was a friend to all that met him whether they needed a listening ear or a helping hand. His love of the Lord was evident through his actions and speech.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Goodman, of Baytown, TX, and children Michelle (Ryan), Anna (Matthew), A.J. (Kortnee), and Lydia (Phillip). Grandchildren: Hannah, Madison, Elayne, Jocelyn and Caden. His brother Kenneth (Debbie) Goodman of Richmond, TX, and nieces and nephew Johanna, Rebekah, and Daniel; as well as many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lonnie A. Goodman and Nadine L. Goodman. Memorials may be made in his memory to Trinity Assembly of God at 1008 E Lobit St, Baytown, TX 77520 or to the American Welding Society.
