

Allen “Ross” Herdejurgen, 86, of Houston, TX went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 29, 2015. Ross was born December 11, 1928 in Houston, TX to John William Herdejurgen and Mildred Lee Herdejurgen. Ross was a member of Garden Oaks Baptist Church. He served in the army during the Korean War. He was known as a Master Mason, a Shriner, and a member/president of the Rotary Club. He was one of the last typewriter mechanics in Houston and owned his own business, Mobile Typewriter on 11th street for more than 60 years. He was a loving Grandpa to his grandchildren and PawPaw to his great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna Marie of Houston, TX; his sister, Annette Padilla and husband Epifanio of Moriarty, NM; his sons, Scott Allen Herdejurgen and his wife Mildred O. Herdejurgen; Bradley Ross Herdejurgen and former wife Marilyn; his granddaughters, Courtney Marie Cullever and husband Stacy; Lisa Marie GoBoncan and husband John Gil; his grandson David Allen Herdejurgen; great-grandchildren Mark Anthony, Harlie, Torey, Mia and Izzy. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John William “Jack” Herdejurgen and Arthur Boyce "Sonny" Herdejurgen. He will be missed by many who knew and loved him. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Heights Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11:30am at the Heights Funeral Home. Roger Hoogterp will be the officiating and the eulogy by Gene Hightower; interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St.
