Amparo Saldivar Amador

Amparo Saldivar Amador, age 87, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, after a short battle with Lewy Body Dementia and long-term battle with CAD among other illnesses. Amparo was born in Mexico and moved to Houston in 1954 where she would meet her future husband, Justo C. Amador, who then married in 1955.

She worked numerous jobs before finding her passion in HISD where she held the position of P.O. Engineer Supervisor until she retired. She thrived in her position there and was continuously acknowledged by her managers for her great work ethic.

Amparo had a passion for her macrame hobby which later turned into a small business out of her home

She took pride in working hard , she worked a full-time job; evening job; week-end job; raised a family; had time for her hobby; and her words were: I'm very strong and her advice was work hard to have what you want.

She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother and a servant of the Lord.

She is survived by her daughter Maria Cristina Gonzalez and husband Luis R. Gonzalez; son Benito Charles and wife Lucy Charles; and daughter Jessica pena and husband juan pena.

She is survived by the following grandchildren: Christina Michelle Franco and husband Efrain Franco; Reuben Emilio Solis and wife Claudia Solis; Gabriel Charles and wife Adriana Charles; Christopher Charles; Corine Rincon and husband Samuel Mendoza; Monica Sczech and husband Jacob Sczech; Sirena Charles and husband Jaime Alaniz; Jessica Metawala; Ricardo Ramirez and wife Barbara Torres; Erika Ramirez.

She is survived by the following great grand-children: Reza Mollai; Efrain Franco and wife Daisy Franco; Christian Franco and wife Abigail Franco; Natalie Franco; Desiree Solis; Sabastian Solis; Sage Solis; Paulino Miranda and wife Brittney Miranda; Lauren Lyons and husband Isaac Lyons; Isaeah Marquez ll and wife Havannah Marquez; Alexandra Fanning and husband Chris Fanning; Nyomi Marquez; Isaac Marquez and fiance' Joanna Plum; Bruce Ramirez; Sonya Snow; Mya Snow; Moses Torres; Carmen Asbury; Cameron Asbury; Gabriel Charles ll; Adrian Charles; Jacob Charles; Jazmyn Charles; Zane Sczech; Cameron Jackson; Ava Mendoza; Landon Mendoza; Celeste Rincon; Kai Alaniz; Savannah Alaniz; Raiden Alaniz.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ismael and Maria Ignacia Saldivar; husband Justo C. Amador; loving grandson Isaeah Jaycee Marquez; sisters Maria Saldivar Esperanza Saldivar; Ma/Antonieta Chavez; Francisca Saldivar; Virginia Saldivar; and brothers Manuel Saldivar and Juan Saldivar.

A visitation for Amparo will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A committal service will occur Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
