Andrea R. Serena

Andrea Serena, age 92, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016. She was born to the late Minnie and Jose Rodriguez on February 4, 1924 and was united in marriage to Jesse Serena in October 1953. They were married for 23 blissful years and he preceded her in death in 1976.

Andrea loved to garden and shared many of her gardenias and roses with family and friends. She devoted her life to her husband and children and sacrificed so her children could attend catholic school. She was a great story teller and loved to tell about her life growing up on farm in west Houston and about working in the nursery at Joseph's hospital later in life. Most importantly she was a women of faith and loved to share her love for the Lord with everyone especially her children and grandchildren. Andrea is survived by her children, Minerva Ruiz, Connie Ramirez and spouse Richard, Jesse Serena Jr, Cynthia Kleinworth, Jimmy Serena and Christina Serena. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 8 great grand-children.
