

On August 21, 1934, Mr. Andrew H. Elliott III, was born in Washington County, Texas to the late Mr. Andrew H. Elliott and Mrs. Mallie Hall Elliott. He was reared and educated in the public school system of Washington County, Texas (Brenham) and later joined the United States Army for a brief time. He accepted Christ at an early age and had an affiliation with the Masonic Lodge. Andrew moved to Houston, Texas and was employed with Weingarten for over 20 years as a truck driver. His travels with the company took him to the The Great Smoky Mountains of Arkansas and Tennessee and Louisiana. After Weingarten's closure, he worked for a short period as a Hot Shot driver. Andrew loved sports, laughing, joking spending time with relatives and friends and weekends in "The Country" (Old Washington) to oversee the upkeep of the family's home place. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Elliott II. Andrew (Brother and Deacon as he was also called), leaves to cherish his memory: Corey (Shonda) Holmes, Andrew Chambers; eight grandchildren; four sisters: Earnestine, Cloyce, Anna and Lula Elliott; one brother Jarvis (Betty) Elliott all of Houston, Texas; special niece and nephew (Angela and Jason Elliott); Darryal (Marsha) Elliott; great niece and nephew Antoinette and Darryal Elliott, Jr. and a host of other
