Aunt Helen, I,m so sorry I could not make it to the service. She was an amazing lady and her kindness had no limits. We were blessed to have such a wonderful Granny. So glad she stayed part of our lives. Thank you Helen for your kindness and prayers through our loss. Marcie loved Granny. All our love to your family. Here if you need anything. Love you Aunt Helen.

Very honored to have been a neighbor of Mrs. Kolbe as I grew up in my childhood years. She was always a very sweet person. When we left that neighborhood she would come to our baby showers and wedding showers and my Dad's Birthday Parties.  Really enjoyed her being there.  She was a faithful friend.  So glad to have known her and we will meet again in Heaven.

I only knew Ms. Annie through the many wonderful stories that we heard at our lunch table from Helen.  We loved the stories about her beloved Astros, no matter how bad a season they were having, they were winners in Ms. Annie's eyes!!   Dear Lord, we are sending you the biggest Astro Fan in Texas.  You take care of her.

Mom, Big Mike, Nancy, Kolbe family - I am not only blessed to be a part of this family, but I am beyond blessed to have been able to share the last 5 years of my life with Granny.  Our conversation during the drive to League City in 2010 on our way to Christmas with the family, is one that I will cherish forever.  Granny's hugs and smiles were the best.  I will miss her tremendously! I find comfort in knowing she is partying up there with my parents and those we've lost, telling them what a great ride she had for 99 years.  I love you all!

Helen and Don, You were fortunate to have had such a wonderful mother for so many years.  I remember the last time I saw her smile, I told her "Every time I look at you, I see Grandma."  Thinking about you...

 Dear Don, I offer my condolences to you and your family . Your Mom was such a sweet person. I am honored to have known her for over 35 years, she was  someone I always looked forward to seeing. That beautiful smile of hers will always be remembered. You and your sister Helen were truly blessed to have such a lovely lady for your Mother.

Helen and Donald, your mother was very special to the Shelly Family.  She was indeed a Grannie to our baby son (Ross Shelly) as she kept him each day while we worked.  We lived right next door and even had a gate put in the fence to make it easier for her to come visit.  I can still remember her with tears in her eyes, as we drove away as we were moving to Huntsville.  I still value the picture of her holding Ross that day we moved away.  I am thankful that we were able to visit with her each time we came to Houston.  Just a few years ago, Ross and his wife Deana joined us for that visit.  You would have thought we brought a bag of gold, she was thrilled to see Ross.  She just sat beside him, holding onto him.  I corresponded with her for many years after we left, then her letters quit coming.  I assumed she had gone to be with the Lord and no one knew how to reach us.  Your mom blessed our lives and I will be anxious to visit with her when I get to Heaven.  I know she is enjoying her life, she always had a lot to say, so I am sure she is bending God's ear.  Hope to see you at the visitation, if not, then the funeral.

We lived across the street from Ms. Kolbe for 5 years. She was always such a sweet neighbor, especially with our toddler. She will certainly be missed! Blessings to your family.

Ms. Helen, Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.  I know Grannie was an amazing lady and I know that it's something she passed down to you!  May she rest in peace and be present with our Lord.

Dear Don and Helen,

Your Mom was truly blessed with a rich and joyous life. Her life is inspirational not only for longevity but  that she enjoyed those years as  she did. Every time I saw her she greeted me with her big happy smile and warm conversation. She will be missed but all who knew her know we were blessed to have her for 99 years and eight months.
