Mr. Antwon L. Burks

Antwon lived with a deep and abiding love for God, which guided his actions and uplifted those around him. He expressed his faith not only through words, but through the way he treated others—with compassion, integrity, and grace.

A gifted artist, Antwon found joy and peace in drawing, often using his creativity to reflect the beauty he saw in the world. He also proudly served in the United States Army as a proud member of the 82nd Airborne Division, where his courage, discipline, and dedication exemplified his love for country and commitment to service.

Antwon loved a good story/debate, always engaging with advice, guidance, curiosity and a desire to understand.

Antwon’s life was a testament to love, faith, and purpose. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his love and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Mr. Antwon L. Burks, age 59 passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Antwon was born in Houston, Texas.

A funeral service for Antwon will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Carl Barnes Funeral Home, Inc, 746 W 22nd Street, Houston, TX 77008. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
