Dear Shelley's girls,

Words can not express the sadness I feel to find out about this today. I worked with Shelley for several years and remember helping Shelley paint your childhood room lavender and green. Shelley was like a big sister to me and regret not staying in contact as our lives changed. She taught me so much. I wish nothing but love, faith and peace for you girls. Your mother was intelligent, courageous, but most important she was loving.   

I will miss her dearly and will have you girls in my prayers always.

I have'd missed you since the day you went to rest. I still love you though you are resting.

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

I am so thankful that God blessed me with you. I am so thankful for the many, many years of our friendship. You are a great heart of gold and it is evident in all your girls. You will me be missed by so many. My love to you and may you find rest for your soul.

Although I only met Shelly a few times, with those few days she had a great impact on my life. No matter what she was battling she was always such a high spirited, happy, positive woman in my eyes. I highly admired Shelly for her upbeat attitude about life and overall strength to overcome. She touched my heart and I have and will continue to miss the wonderful woman that she was! May you rest in peace Shelly.?

First and foremost, I'd like to offer my deepest sympathy to Shelly's family . Shelly raised 4 great girls. I know God has called her home and I know she will be missed  but always know she is  your own angel and the brightest star in the sky you see every night.
I will always remember our first meeting when she was running out of the suite because she was scared and I stopped her and she steyed and each treatment got easier. One of her daughters was always with her and she was so very proud of each of you. My prayers are with all of you. Shelly, your wonderfulsmile will be missed. Liz, RN

Shelley was a dear, sweet AMAZING woman and patient.  I was honored, humbled and enjoyed taking care of you.  You are missed, but glad you're no longer in pain.  You fought a tough battle.  You raised amazing daughters and were such a great role model to them and everyone around you.  Peace to you and your sweet family!!!

My Dear Sister,  

This is the first day, since you left us to be with our Lord, that I have had a chance to dwell on my thoughts.  I still cannot believe you're gone.  You truly are in a better place, resting and not having to worry about anything.  That sounds like a cliché; however, I truly feel you are finally resting. 
I wish I could just text you, then go over and sit together while watching an old black and white movie, preferably Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin.  We don't have to talk- just sit there knowing that we love each other, could count on each other not matter the situation.  
During your final battle you never wavered from your faith.  Your resolve to continue each day, waking up in pain then going to sleep in pain inspired everyone around you.  Besides inspiration, you were and  will continue to be a teacher to all who were blessed to share some time in your presence.  
We got it from here Sis!  Don't worry about anyone or anything.  Your daughters will be cared for.  Your requests will be honored until they are fulfilled.

Shelley was a shining light that brought joy to every path she crossed. Brightness in dark times. Laughter in times of sorrow. Deepest condolence to the family. In the short time I had worked with your mom, I only had good thoughts about her. She always had a smile and such a contagious laugh. I had held on to the hope that Shelley would fully recover and that one day soon I could see her again; gathered around the kitchen island smiling. Ms. Shelley, I only had the distinct pleasure of meeting you twice, but those two short meetings left a beautiful impression on my life. Your energy and positivity was basically bursting at the seams, leaving me with the impression that you're a woman who lived every single moment of life to the fullest. Melanie is a beautiful person inside and out, and I know you passed that on to her. Rest in beautiful, complete peace, Ms. Shelley.

To Shelly's Family and Mother Estella Montemayor, you have from the bottom of Our Hearts Our deepest Condolences. Shelly was my Daughters Cynthia Guerra Silva's Childhood friend since school days. They were like sisters and when they had their Families they were also united with in each others Family. We Loved Shelly and her Mother because these two women are the Strongest and Most Courageous I have ever meet. Not to mentioned their Faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ that is like a Rock. They speak of Jesus Christ as if they were the Apostles that walked with him. I guess what I am trying to say is Shelly knew the Lord so well, that he knew she was his special child. So,as Shelly gave her last breathe Jesus Christ himself was there stretching his hand to her to bring her home immediately because this was a Personal Moment for Jesus Christ and Shelly. So,to her Four daughters follow in your Mom's Footsteps. She left you A Great Blessing of Faith, Believe, and Strength. The Good Die Young. And few are the chosen. Shelly went ahead of us to prepare our way when our turn comes. God trusts her to help him bring her Family and Friends home too ! Shelly please, give all of our Loved ones a Kiss and Hug from us and tell them we love them and they are in our Hearts and we will meet again in Heaven in the House of Our Father, Jesus Christ. Dear family, one of the last times I had chance to talk to Shelley we spoke about life and how short and fragile it is but how important it is to live a life full of hope and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.  One thing that Shelley loved to talk about was about her faith in the Lord and how much love and strength she found in Him. She is now enjoying complete peace in His awesome presence. She was the sweetest lady - and most of all a very proud mom of her girls - 
She loved her daughters and family so much .. 
I don't think she ever met a stranger.. 
She welcomed me as a friend and treated me like we were friends forever -

To the Martinez Family: I'm at a complete loss of words. Although I wasn't able to do anything to help, I'm grateful that I was able make Shelly smile and bring laughter into her life when I gave her the Cancer Medallion, how ever brief it may have been. Having lost my father 10 years ago I can only say that with time your hearts will mend. You will never forget the loss, but you will be able to deal with it in time. Take the love, wisdom, compassion and life lessons Shelly shared with you and it will comfort you when you need it most. My condolences to your family.

Dearest Shelly, u were a wonderdul a person. Always so sweet and open. Ive always enjoyed ur company when u and ur daughters would come to visit my mother and I. As a child u would take me and ur oldest daughter out for fun. I'll always be fond of classic, lime green mustangs because of urs.
