Arthur Denny Scott, born June 9, 1932, passed away on August 26, 2011. A third generation Houstonian, he graduated from Reagan High School and Texas A&M with honors. He became a pilot in the U.S. Air Force before joining IBM where he worked for 28 years. After retiring from IBM, he worked for Mellon Bank and Goldman-Sachs, but his proudest accomplishment was his many years of volunteer work with the American Foundation for the Blind, for which he eventually became chairman.
He is survived by Ann Kendrick Scott, his cherished wife of 60 years, his three daughters; Stephanie, Cindy and Denny, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His legacy of fair play and generosity of spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him so well and will forever grace the lives of those who follow.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 5pm-8pm. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 10am at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home Family Chapel.
