Arturo Calderon

Arturo was born to Antonio A. Calderon and Virginia Calderon Padilla, May 28, 1958, in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila MX. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He married Rosa Calderon Castillo in 1978, and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised three children.

He is survived by his wife Rosa Calderon and his three daughters and son in-laws, Vivian Calderon-Joel Hernandez, Vanessa Calderon Lopez- Adolfo Lopez & Nelly Calderon- Daniel Banuelos. Mother, Virginia Calderon, Siblings: Jose Antonio Calderon, Sergio Calderon, Mario Calderon, Griselda Calderon Castillo and Javier Calderon. He also leaves to cherish his memory with his seven grandchildren: Madelynn, Melanie, Sebastian, Daniella, Arianna, Armando & Giselle.

He was preceded in death by his father Antonio A. Calderon.

Arturo worked as a welder and lead man for nearly 40 years. He enjoyed his retirement fishing, hunting, listening to 70's rock, watching Astros baseball games and tending to his fruit and pepper garden. He also enjoyed spending time cooking BBQ, brisket and seafood with his family. He was an exemplary father, lovely grandfather and excellent husband.

An extraordinary man that will be dearly missed.

A visitation for Arturo will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, Grand Chapel. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, Grand Chapel. A committal service will occur Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
