She was born in Colmesneil, Texas, Tyler Co., on Thursday, March 30, 1916. She finished high school at Colmesneil in 1935. She came to Houston, Texas to live and there she met the love of her life, W.F. (Bill) Williams. They were married almost 65 years when he went to be with the Lord. She was a member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church where she taught in 2nd grade Sunday School 42 years. She loved her church and church family.
Preceded her in death were her husband W.F.(Bill) Williams and son Billy Paul Williams. She is survived by son, James A. Williams, grandchildren, Christina Williams of Houston, Texas, Cynthia Williams of San Antonio, Texas, Billy Paul Williams Jr. and Claudia Williams of Laredo, TX; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Williams, Kathryne Williams, Billy Paul Williams III and Zachary Williams all of Laredo, Texas; one aunt Willie Mae Cryer of Zavalla, Texas and several cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will begin at 12:30pm on Monday, January 31, 2011 with the funeral service at 2pm in the family chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. James Morris.
